Juha Rönkkö has always been collecting something.
About 15 years ago he discovered Finnish Silver Jewelry and desing silver. Today, the collection contains about 2,000 silver jewelery / objects from the period of Finnish independence. The main part of the collection is from the 1950s to the 1970s. Juha also collects information about the authors and old advertisements, newspaper clippings, etc. in the museum collection. If you know any stories / advertisements related to Finnish jewelery and creators, Juha would be happy to receive information. Now it is beginning to be the last moments to recover information about the Silver and Jewelers who influenced the 50s. |
Over the years, jewelery has been on loan in museums and exhibitions. Jewelry has been also borrowed for jewelery book descriptions.
Juha had his own show in 2017 when Finland turned 100 years old = Finland 100 years old in Lahti. A new exhibition has been asked often and if everything goes well, there will be a new exhibition tour in Finland in 2026. It would be great to take the exhibition outside Finland as well. |
